Business community’s role vital for economic progress: Dar

KARACHI: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said active role of traders and business community is vital for economic progress in the country.


He was talking to a delegation of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry and bankers in Karachi.

The Minister urged the business community to join forces with the government to promote tax culture for revenue generation.

He asked Chambers to act as a bridge between the government and the traders for active coordination aimed at augmenting economic development in the country.

The Minister said overall improvement in the security situation in the country and growing economic activities have been well received by potential foreign investors.

The international rating agencies have given positive ratings to Pakistan and now it is time to consolidate our economic gains.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman FPCCI Mian Idrees appreciated the government in achieving record level of Forex reserves.
