ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will be linked through land and sea routes.
Addressing a media forum regarding CPEC in Islamabad, he said the energy projects are being prioritized under CPEC.
The Minister said a 1,300 megawatt of electricity project will be completed in Sahiwal by 2017, while work on a 250 megawatt wind energy project is underway. He said that work on Matiari-Lahore transmission line has begun.
Speaking on the occasion, Chinese Ambassador Sun Weidong said the CPEC project will provide connectivity to regional countries.
