Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor would greatly benefit the country in energy sector and infrastructure development.
He was talking to the Chairman, Board of Directors, United States Institute of Peace Stephen Hadley in Islamabad.
Ishaq Dar said thirty four billion out of 46 billion dollar investment in CPEC was focused on energy projects, in the private sector. He said there would be no debt burden on the government. He said CPEC projects would largely promote regional integration and connectivity.
Dar also apprised Hadley of the ongoing Operation Zarb e Azb which has eliminated a number of high profile targets and sanctuaries of the militants.
Stephen Hadley lauded the economic turnaround achieved by Pakistan under the incumbent government.
