CPEC to help in poverty alleviation in remote areas of Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Resources Jam Kamal Khan has said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will create employment opportunities and help alleviate poverty in remote areas of Balochistan.

In a statement, he said the mega project would not only promote trade from Gwadar to Kashgar but also ensure basic infrastructure including roads, electricity and energy projects in Balochistan.

The Minister said CPEC and industrial development in Gwadar will also benefit the local people.

Jam Kamal Khan called upon the local youth to get professional training and skills as there are tremendous job opportunities for the skilled youth in the province.
