Efforts being made to end load-shedding by 2018: Asif

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said government is making all-out efforts to overcome load-shedding in the country by 2018.

Speaking in a programme, he said about 10,000 to12,000 megawatt of electricity will be produced under China Pakistan Economic Corridor initiative.

He said that Balloki power plant would also generate affordable electricity and create job opportunities.

The Minister said that work is underway on Neelum-Jhelum and Tarbela-4 projects which would be completed in 2017 and 2018.

He said government has decreased line losses and improved recovery in last one year.
