Global investors faith in Pakistan’s economy rising: Sarah Bloom

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Secretary of Treasury United States Sarah Bloom Raskin has on Saturday said that the faith of global investors in Pakistan’s economy is rising.


She said that the successful auction of bonds worth USD 500 million was a proof of investors’ faith.

According to a statement issued from Finance Ministry, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar briefed Sarah Bloom over the economic performance of the country during last two years.

Ishaq Dar told her that despite ups and downs in the international stocks, foreign bonds worth USD 500 million were auctioned successfully. He demanded easier access for Pakistan’s textile products to the US markets.

The finance minister also briefed her about the accomplishments of Pakistan army in the recent Operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorists in the north-west of the country.

Sarah Bloom also appreciated the government’s National Action Plan on this occasion.
