Infrastructure development solidifying in country: Ahsan

LAHORE: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government has provided a solid base for developing infrastructure in the country.


Addressing a ceremony at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) in Lahore on Friday, he said China is investing 46 billons dollars in Pakistan in various mega projects because of the efforts of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The Minister said the execution of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects will start a new era of progress and prosperity in all the four provinces, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Later, talking to newsmen the Minister said Federal government is promoting culture of saving the national exchequer and it has saved nearly 500 billion rupees in various development projects.

He said that the ministries chalk out projects and the planning commission executes them.
