ISLAMABAD: Pakistan continues to draw interest from international companies looking to set up large-scale renewable energy projects.
The world’s renowned wind power generation company “Wind Systems of Denmark” has announced plans to set up one thousand megawatt wind power projects in Punjab.
Company officials have signed a letter of intent to develop the first phase of the Quaid-e-Azam Wind Park in the southwest of the province, which will have an installed capacity of two hundred fifty megawatt.
The project will be expanded to one thousand megawatt capacity. Danish company has announced that it will invest two point two billion dollars to complete the one thousand megawatt wind energy park.
Several international companies are currently working on wind energy projects in Pakistan particularly in Sindh.
