ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Special Envoy Javed Malik met Federal Minster of Finance Senator Ishaq Dar in Islamabad along with his delegation formed by Pakistan International Business Council, says a press release on Tuesday.
The delegation comprising of noted companies like American Ethane and GE (General Electric) presented a proposal to address the country’s energy needs by providing an innovative solution and expressed their interest in putting upto 6,000 megawatt power plant in Pakistan.
The delegation that included American and European businessmen appreciated the policies of the government to encourage foreign investment and the efforts of the instrumental role being played by Senator Ishaq Dar in restoring the positive outlook of the country’s economy.
Speaking about the visit, Ambassador Javed Malik said that international investors are coming to Pakistan due to the positive reforms being introduced by the government led by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and leading rating agencies have recently upgraded Pakistan’s economic outlook, which is a clear evidence that we are on the right track.
Ambassador Malik pointed out that Pakistan offers attractive opportunities in the energy sector which are receiving positive response from global investors and through our economic diplomacy goals we are doing all that we can to highlight these opportunities to the potential investors and showcase the business, trade and investment opportunities in our country.
