KSE 100-Index closes at record 35,000 points

KARACHI: A new record was created at the Karachi Stock Exchange on the very first day of fiscal year 2015-16 with benchmark 100-Index closing at record high 35,000 points today.

The trading started on a positive note and it remained the same throughout the trading day at the close of which KSE 100-Index gained 444 points closing at record 34,843 points.

Most of trading was done in cement, banking, power and oil and gas sectors. Over 167.2 million shares were traded today.
