Nandipur power project generating 100 MW electricity in system: Abid Sher Ali

LAHORE: State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali said on Saturday that at least 100 MW electricity is being included in the system due to Nandipur power project whereas zero percent load shedding is being conducted in the industries country-wide.


While talking to media in Wapda House, he said that false propaganda is being done against the project as the government is producing electricity from it as needed.

On the directions of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, Abid Sher Ali also announced the re-opening of open courts as complaints regarding over-billing have surfaced recently.

While talking about power-cut duration, the minister stated that six hours load shedding in the urban and eight hours in the rural areas is being carried out.

Abid Sher Ali said that increased load shedding is being done due to the line losses and power theft in various areas.
