ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said no change has been made in western route of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and reservations of all parliamentary parties are being removed.
Talking to a news channel, he said that misconceptions are being spread about the routes and Chinese investment plan.
He said western route of CPEC would be completed on a priority basis and would be made functional in December this year.
Ahsan Iqbal said that a 600 megawatt power project would also be established in Gwadar under CPEC.
He said the government is determined to accomplish the project as it was a game changer for the country and the region.
He said Around 36 billion dollars out of total 46 billion dollars would be invested in the energy sector by private Chinese companies.
