Pakistan, Italy agree to strengthen trade and economic ties

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has urged Italian companies to take benefit of investment friendly environment by investing in Pakistan.

Talking to Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi in New York on Tuesday he said overseas Pakistanis living in Italy are playing an important role in country’s development.

They also agreed to strengthen trade and economic relations between the two countries.

Italian Prime Minister said that a trade delegation of Italy will soon visit Pakistan.

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu also called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in New York.

They discussed situation in the region and exchanged views on bilateral relations.

Speaking on the occasion, the Turkish Prime Minister commended Pakistan’s successful fight against terrorism.
