Pakistan, Turkey agree to enhance cooperation in defence sector

ISTANBUL: Pakistan and Turkey have agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation in defence sector.

The understanding came during a meeting of Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain with Turkish leadership on the side lines of the 12th International Defence Industry Fair 2015.

During a meeting with Commander of the Turkish General Staff General Necdet Özel, the two sides reiterated their desire to undertake joint defence production projects.

And during his meeting with Commander of Turkish Air Force General Akin Öztürk, Rana Tanveer expressed satisfaction over the recently completed project for up-gradation of F-16s undertaken at Turkish Aerospace Industries.
