Peshawar airport to be renovated at a cost of Rs2 billion

The Senate was informed today that expansion and renovation of Peshawar airport will be carried out at a cost of two billion rupees.

During question hour, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed told the House that project will be completed in fifteen months.

To a question, the Minister of State said that as per policy, six per cent quota is reserved for Balochistan for appointments in PIA. At present 529 persons belonging to Balochistan are working in the organization.

Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Barjees Tahir told the House that the quota for disabled in government jobs is being observed by all ministries, divisions and attached departments.

To a question, Barjees Tahir told the House that Federal Directorate of Education, Islamabad revises and improves the policy according to the needs of the teachers as well as students from time to time so that they are able to cope with the modern day challenges.
