Petroleum prices likely to be slashed from next month

ISLAMABAD: The government is likely to cut the prices of petroleum products by Rs6.15 a litre for the coming month of September.

According to sources, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will send a summary to Petroleum Ministry for approval.

Sources add that if the summary is approved, petrol price will come down to Rs70.89 per litre. The price of high speed diesel is expected to be reduced by Rs5.30 per litre.

In addition, the price of light speed diesel could be slashed by RS5 per litre.
