Rs 100 bln to be saved in power generation through LNG: Khaqan

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi says one hundred billion rupees would be saved annually in power generation through Liquefied Natural Gas.


In an interview, he said the first Liquefied Natural Gas terminal was installed in record time of 20 months.

The minister said two more LNG terminals would be established one at Port Qasim while the other at Gwadar.

He said the purpose of importing LNG is to reduce the cost of power generation.
