QUETTA: Balochistan budget with a total outlay of Rs 243 billion for the financial year 2015-16 will be presented this afternoon.
Adviser to Chief Minister (CM) on Finance Mir Khalid Lango will present the budget at the Provincial Assembly in Quetta at 4:30pm.
CM Abdul Malik Baloch said the budget was prepared keeping in view the problems of people. The budget will be presented in the Balochistan Assembly.
Information Minister Balochistan told media special attention was given to health and education sectors in the budget. At least 25% of the budget will be allocated for education.
Baloch added that Rs 2 billion more were earmarked for law and order improvement after slashing the amount from development budget.
It is learnt that a huge amount was also allocated for water supply system in Quetta. Allocation for construction of small and big dams is also made in the budget, sources added.
