WB, IMF acknowledge govt’s efforts for poverty alleviation: Ahsan

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal says prudent policies of the government have put the country on road to progress.


In an interview, he said international community has praised the government for taking measures for economic stability.

Ahsan Iqbal said the government has succeeded in bringing sufficient decrease in load shedding, and industry is getting uninterrupted power supply.

He said foreign reserves have reached twenty-one billion dollars as a result of economic policies of the government.

Ahsan Iqbal said World Bank and International Monetary Fund have acknowledged government’s efforts for poverty alleviation.
