Aamir Khan’s PK to premiere in China today

Aamir Khan’s last release PK became a record breaking success in India and now the film is all set to release in China. Interestingly, the last collaboration of Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani, 3 Idiots, was a huge success in the country and since then, the director-actor duo has an ardent fan following there.


Earlier we had reported how Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan decided to be a part of the cultural event in China and now we hear that the film is all set to have a grand premiere today in China in the iconic location Shanghai Art Center, which is a 1200 seater theatre, the biggest in the city.

Amrita Pandey of UTV mentioned that they had decided to push the film there even before it released in India in December 2014. In fact, they were in the process of finalizing the deal with the China Film Group then and the film will finally release in China on May 22 in over 3500 screens. Moreover, Amrita also further added that Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani have a huge fan following in the country and there is also a fan club with over 1,00,000 plus members.

From what we hear, Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan will not only attend the screening but will also be present at the press event post the premiere. Moreover, there will be some popular Chinese actors present during the event which includes Baoqiang Wang, a famous celebrity who has lent his voice for Aamir Khan in the Chinese version of PK. Speculations also state that Jackie Chan too will be present during the event.
