‘Avengers’ actor Jeremy Renner wants to do a Hawkeye and Black Widow movie

Fans aren’t the only ones who want to see “Avengers” members Hawkeye and Black Widow get their own movie.

Hawkeye actor Jeremy Renner told fans at the first annual Silicon Valley Comic Con Saturday he would like to see that happen.

“In two seconds I’d do that,” Renner said in response to a fan asking whether the actor would do a Black Widow / Hawkeye film.

Could we ever see a movie starring both Renner and Scarlett Johansson?

Marvel already has its lineup of future movies pretty set in stone through 2020. It would also heavily depend on whether both make it out of Marvel’s next movie, “Captain America: Civil War” alive.

Renner has been quite vocal about wanting a Hawkeye movie in the past.

“In the last Avengers: Age of Ultron, we got to dive into [Hawkeye] some more,” Renner said during a Reddit AMA last year. “Very excited about the outcome of it, and where it can go in the future. But all I can do is want. And that’s all I can do. It all comes down to the content, and really how the puppeteers at Marvel can manifest a story that’s worthy of a solo movie. Not sure what that is, or how that is, but I’m confident they can do whatever they want, if they want to do it. And I’d be game.”

It’s no secret fans having been wanting a Black Widow movie for years now.

Even “Captain America: Civil War” directors Anthony and Joe Russo said that they would like to see a movie following the female Avenger during international press for the film.

“We find that the character is one of the richest, if not the richest, character in the Marvel universe,” said Joe Russo. “She’s a very complex character. She’s haunted by demons and her understanding of the world is fascinating. I think there is a lot that can be done with that character.”

For now, fans will just have to imagine what a movie combining the two would look like on their own. There are plenty of fan-created mashups and trailers to keep you satisfied for the moment.
