Chitrangda Singh has reportedly quit Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer Babumoshai Bandookbaaz over an ugly fight with the film’s director Kushan Nandy.
According to a report in Indian newspaper, Singh, who has never been in controversies, was incensed when the director got under her skin with what would appear to some as offensive remarks.
A source close to the production of the film is to be believed, while shooting for an intimate scene with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Chitrangda was asked to take retakes for that one perfect shot. Kushan, reportedly, got too involved with the scene, which revolved around Nawaz pulling Chitrangda forcibly on the bed. While directing this scene, Kushan made a few statements that angered Chitrangda, leading to an ugly spat between the two.
Kushan, according to the source, among many other things, said, “Chitrangda, you ought to get literally on top of Nawaz. Taange ragdo and sex karo.”
Following this, Chitrangda chose to quit the project. Nil Battey Sannata actror Swara Bhaskar is likely to be given the role.
