Saif Ali Khan has the perfect message for all those demanding a ban on cross-border talent in the aftermath of Uri terror attacks. The actor believes that artists spread love and peace and talent — especially from across the border — should be encouraged.
When asked if he supported the encouragement or banning of talent from across the border, Saif batted for the former.
Talking to indianexpress.com, Saif said, “It should be encouraged. The world is open to our film industry and our film industry is open to talents from around the world especially cross border. We are artists who talk about love and peace.”
Saif, however, indicated the final word on the matter should rest only and only with the government. “The government has to decide these things. The government must make decisions about law and order and who is allowed and who isn’t,” averred Saif.
Post the attacks in Uri, the Raj Thackeray-led MNS fired the first salvo calling for all Pakistani actors to leave India within 48 hours. On Sunday, the party claimed that their diktat had been successfully implemented with a radio station and television channel dropping their earlier plans of welcoming Pakistani artists on their shows.
