Kareena Kapoor: ‘Udta Punjab’ won’t enter the Rs 100 cr club

Today’s movies are just racing to topple each other in terms of box office collections. But Kareena Kapoor, who will next be seen in Kabir Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ co-starring Salman Khan, is unfazed as far as Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Udta Punjab’ is concerned.

The pretty actress will be seen playing a doctor from Amritsar in the movie. According to a report published in Bollywoodlife.com, she says, “‘Udta Punjab’ is a brilliant film. I loved the story. It’s one of those films where you don’t have to do too much to get your emotions out. When Abhishek was narrating the film to me, I didn’t know whether I wanted to cry or do something else. The first thought was I want to do the film at any cost.”

“There are some films which won’t do 150 crores, but will be remembered for its story. ‘Udta Punjab’ is one such film. People will talk about the content more than the box office figures,” she adds.

Kareena Kapoor further divulges that ‘Udta Punjab is a three-track film and Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor and she are not paired together.
