According to reports, Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has been approached to star in the upcoming Indo-Chinese action comedy film Kung Fu Yoga.

Katrina Kaif is said to soon join renowned Chinese actor and stunt performer Jackie Chan for the upcoming Indo-Chinese action film Kung Fu Yoga.

Though the actress’s official spokesman has stated that nothing has been confirmed as of yet, there are strong reports that Katrina might soon join the cast of Kung Fu Yoga. Earlier, Aamir Khan had declined to star in the movie, owing to his hectic schedule.

According to reports, Katrina will be essaying the role of an Indian professor at a Chinese university.

Jackie Chan will play a Chinese archaeologist who enlists her help to recover the ancient treasures from the Magadha era.

However, her spokesman has not confirmed the news, stating:“Katrina is yet to take a decision on the film. Nothing is confirmed as of yet.”

According to an inside source, Katrina will be seen in quite a few action sequences.”There are a lot of stunts in the film which is not surprising since it features Jackie Chan, a martial arts expert.

What is interesting is that Katrina too will get to do many action scenes,” says a source close to the development, pointing out that she did a lot of action in Ek Tha Tiger too.

Kung Fu Panda is being directed by Stanley Tong, a renowned Hong Kong based director. He has earlier helmed the famous Jackie Chan film Rumble in the Bronx.

Jackie Chan has had the pleasure of starring in an action film with another Bollywood beauty in the past, namely Mallika Sherawat. Sherawat and Chan starred in the Hollywood film The Myth.

Katrina Kaif is currently involved in the filming of Fitoor with Aditya Roy and Tabu. The film is an Indian adaptation of the famous Charles Dickens novel Great Expectations.

Fitoor is set for a 2016 release. Kat will also be seen in an upcoming movie titled Jagga Jasoos with her boyfriend, actor Ranbir Kapoor. Jagga Jasoos is directed by Anurag Basu.
