Although actor Madhuri Dixit Nene already has a film named after her — Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon! (2003) — she feels a biopic on her can wait. “I would say picture abhi baaki hai. There are so many things I want to do. There is still time for that,” she says.
As the leading ladies of Bollywood – Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone – make their foray into Hollywood, Madhuri says she doesn’t regret not getting a similar opportunity. The actor, who has been acting for more than three decades, is happy with how her career has shaped up. “It’s wonderful to see our girls going there and doing such a wonderful job like Priyanka, Deepika or Aishwarya (Rai Bachchan). But there are no regrets. People are curious about our culture. I wish they continue to include this in films,” she says.
Talking about the new heroines, Madhuri says that there is nothing that she can teach them as they are already doing a fabulous job. “I think these girls are smart and it’s wonderful to see that they are so prepared. They are bright and so aware of everything that is going on. I don’t think there is any advice. I enjoy watching them and their performances,” she says.
“All of them are so good… Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor…then there is Deepika, Priyanka, Kareena (Kapoor Khan)… all of them are doing such a great job,” she adds.
