‘Underworld 5’ begins filming in Prague

LOS ANGELES: The fifth installment of “Underworld” movie franchise has started principal photography in Prague with Kate Beckinsale and Theo James reprising their respective roles.

Sony has announced that “Underworld 5”, tentatively called “Underworld: Next Generation”, has started its production.

Filming begins in Prague and will continue in other areas in the Czech capital over ten weeks, reported Ace Showbiz.

Beckinsale and James, who first joined the franchise in 2012’s “Underworld: Awakening”, return as Selene and her ally David respectively.

Another actor returning from “Underworld: Awakening” is “Game of Thrones” star Charles Dance. He reprises his role as David’s dad, vampire elder Thomas.

Dance is not the only “Game of Thrones” actor in the cast of the upcoming movie. Tobias Menzies is also on board to portray a new Lycan leader, while James Faulkner will play an unspecified role.
