LAHORE: Power shortfall has reached 4800 megawatt (MW) with unannounced loadshedding in urban areas due to increased pressure on the system.

According to National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) the power demand has escalated to 15,400 megawatts and the production has restricted to only 10,600 megawatts.

Electricity demand can also be increased due to dry and hot weather disrupting the power outage schedule whereas the same cause has also created several problems to the residents.
