LAHORE: The Punjab cabinet on Monday was extended after 11 new ministers took oath in a ceremony held in Governor House, Lahore.
Governor Punjab Malik Rafique Rajwana administered the oath while Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Shehbaz Sharif was also present on the occasion.
Those who took oath as ministers included, Jahangir Khanzada, Naghma Mushtaq, Amanatullah Khan Shadikhel, Sheikh Ala-ud-Din, Manshaullah Butt, Mehar Ijaz, Zaeem Qadri, Naeem Akhtar Bhaba, Syed Raza Ali Gilani, Ahmed Yar Hinjar and Khawaja Salman Rafiq.
Three advisors including Khwaja Imran Nazir, Rana Maqbool Ahmad and Azamul Haq whereas two special assistants Rana Arshad and Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan also take oath.
The expansion came after three and a half years with much criticism on the government.
The number of cabinet ministers has now grown to 31.
