ISLAMABAD: Most areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhutnkhwa and the federal capital were rocked by mild earthquake an hour after midnight on Wednesday.
The jolts were felt in Swat, Buttagram, Azad Kashmir, Skardu, Swat, Mansehra, Malakand, Peshawar, Islamabad, Charsadda, Buner, Mirpur, Sargodha and Attock.
Several tribal areas including Hangu, Orakzai and Kurram agencies also felt the tremors.
The earthquake was measured 5.9 at the Richter scale, according to the Met department.
According to seismological center, the epicenter of the quake was located in Hindu Kush Mountain Range at a depth of 200 kilometers.
