903 people airlifted to safety in flood-hit Chitral: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Pak Army’s relief and rescue operation is underway in flood-affected areas in Chitral, the ISPR reported.

As per details, the army has airlifted 903 people to safety and established a medical camp at Chitral Scouts Hospital to treat the victims. 1178 patients have been treated at the camp so far.

Army men have also distributed 59 tons of rations among the flood affectees and four water tankers provide 12,000 liter water to locals daily.

On the other hand, FWO has restored road links in Chitral, Reshun and Boni Gilgit Baltistan whereas restoration work is underway in Bambrot and Garam Chashma.
