HANGU: Awami National Party’s (APN) district councillor Mumtaz Khan on Saturday has been killed in a blast in Tora Wari area while at least two persons are reported injured.

Initial details suggest that the bomb was remotely controlled.

Earlier, in different incidents, several banned outfit Tehrik-i-Taliban’s (TTP) operatives have been arrested in the recent past.

Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti, a couple of months before had claimed that security situation in Hangu is much better than before.

The Frontier Corps (FC) and Bugti had also appealed to the locals to help the security personnel in nabbing militants.

Several government highups including National Secuirty Advisor (NSA) Sartaj Aziz and Leader of Opposition in National Assembly (NA) Khursheed Shah have repeatedly alleged Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) for acts of terror in Balochistan.
