Army chief meets Iranian Defence Minister

ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday met Iranian Defence Minister Hossein Dehghan in Iran and discussed matters of regional security, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

General Sharif Pakistan takes Iran as very important neighbouring Muslim country and people of Pakistan have a great affinity with the Iranian brothers.

“Terrorism is a global threat which has the potential of destabilizing the region which needs a well coordinated response,” he said.

The Iranian defence minister thanked General Raheel Sharif and people of Pakistan for their efforts towards stablizing regional security.
