KARACHI: Assefa Bhutto, daughter of former President Asif Ail Zardari, visited revered philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi on Saturday and passed on wishes and prayers from PPP Chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
“Abdul Sattar Edhi Sahab has done so much for our country. The least we can do is to ensure he has the best possible healthcare in Pakistan,” Assefa Bhutto said in a Twitter message after the meeting.
Calling Edhi a pillar of Pakistani community, she said that the Sindh government wants to ensure treatment of Edhi sahab as per his desire.
“I have come to see you as a daughter. I hope you will prove us with the opportunity to ensure your treatment,” she said.
According to our correspondent, Edhi asked Assefa to donate land for graveyard.
“I will talk to Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah about the allocation of land for the graveyard,” she pledged.
