KARACHI: Anti-terrorism court (ATC) has declared Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain and Dr Farooq Sattar proclaimed offenders among five in provocative speech case.

On the other hand, court has extended interim bail of MQM’s Waseem Akhtar, Rauf Siddique and Qamar Mansoor until April 16 in the same case.

The court extended the bails in 23 cases against Siddique, Mansoor and Akhtar.

MQM chief Altaf Hussain had delivered a speech last year in which he criticised government institutions, Pakistan Rangers and military.

Qamar Mansoor, Rauf Siddique and Waseem Akhtar had made arrangements for the speech that was delivered via video link from London.

Waseem Akhtar is facing cases in Sohrab Goth and Super Highway police stations.

Earlier on January 26, anti-terrorism court (ATC) had reissued arrest warrants of Altaf Hussain among 23 in provocative speech case.

The MQM leader had later apologized for his speech delivered in 2015.
