ATTOCK: The funeral prayers of martyred Army Captain Isfandyar Bukhari were offered in Attock on Saturday evening.

A large number of people, high military officials and family members attended the funeral.

Captain Isfandyar was among those martyred when militants stormed the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Camp in Badaber on Friday.

DG Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj Gen Asim Bajwa confirmed that 29 people embraced martyrdom in the attack during the exchange of fire with the terrorists.

Bajwa said the slain included 23 PAF officials and the Pakistan Army’s Captain Isfandyar Bukhari, who had won the Sword of Honour at the Pakistan Military Academy on account of his excellent performance during training.

He is said to have fought valiantly and led from the front against the terrorists in Badaber.
