ISLAMABAD: Allegedly partisan attitude of National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq brought the Opposition parties on a single page, forcing them to boycott from the house on Thursday.
Exasperated over the rejection of disqualification references against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the representatives of political parties sat around Opposition Leader Khursheed Shah in his chamber where he said the rulers are frightened over their imminent disqualification.
Shah said, “Ayaz Sadiq’s decision seems to have come from some other place.”
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi said the NA speaker did not serve the government with his ruling; instead, he turned it into a controversy.
Qureshi said, “We reserve the right to challenge the Speaker’s ruling in the court. We are mulling to this effect. It appears that the ruling was imposed on him and he overlooked his office.”
Pursuing the consensus decision of the meeting, the Opposition parties walked out of the House soon after the speech of Imran Khan.
