ISLAMABAD: Former federal minister and Baloch leader Yar Muhammad Rind on Friday announced to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Holding a joint press conference with PTI chairman Imran Khan, Rind announced to formally enter into PTI folds.
Rind has been affiliated with Millat Party, National Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid, and held the office of Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture during the reign of Pervez Musharraf.
Talking to journalists, Yar Muhammad Rind criticized Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Asif Ali Zardari for boasting of not to victimize any one, adding, “I am a living example of their victimization”.
Rind elaborated that 16 fake cases were registered against him under different charges, on the basis of which he was barred from contesting elections.
The former minister claimed that several key figures from Sindh and Balochistan want to join Tehreek-i-Insaf.
Former minister vowed to organize and strengthen PTI in his province.
On the occasion, Imran Khan lamented injustices done to Balochistan saying larger provinces are exploiting the resources of smaller ones.
Khan termed the inclusion of Yar Muhammad Rind in PTI folds an achievement of his party.
