Better relations between Pakistan, India key to progress: Sartaj Aziz

LAHORE: Advisor to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has on Saturday said that de-escalation of tensions between India and Pakistan will allow the two countries to progress. He said that PM Nawaz Sharif made it clear before his Indian counterpart that improvement in relations will be impossible without solving all outstanding issues.

In an interview, Sartaj Aziz said that the meeting between Nawaz Sharif and Narendra Modi provided opportunity to lessen the tensions between the two countries and the talks started between India and Pakistan.

Sartaj Aziz said that membership of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is a major success of Pakistan and lawyers of both the countries will meet soon to discuss Mumbai attacks case.
