KARACHI: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has asked the workers to carry forward philosophy and vision of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto as a homage to the great democrat, founder of the PPP and first democratically-elected Prime Minister of Pakistan born today 88 years ago.

In his message on the 88th birthday of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Bilawal said that the PPP founder pieced together the country after East Pakistan broke away and gave it first-ever unanimous Constitution, which created a strong bond of harmony among the federating units and gave the fundamental and equal rights to the citizens of Pakistan for the first time.

He said that Bhutto launched far-reaching projects for the economic development and defence of the country.

From Nuclear Programme to Heavy Mechanical Complex Taxila, Port Qasim, Pakistan Steel, his vision for a prosperous, peaceful and progressive Pakistan remains a shining chapter in the history.

He said that Zulfikar Bhutto not only lived but died for his vision and mission of reclaiming the lost rights of the people, especially the bare-foot and downtrodden masses.

He said that the best way to pay homage to the legendary founder of the PPP is following his vision and mission the way his daughter Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto did.

He pledged that he has already picked up the thread of struggle of Bhutto Shaheed and Bibi Shaheed had left behind to accomplish the mission, they embraced martyrdom for.
