KHARAN: A commander of the outlawed Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) laid down arms in Kharan on Sunday.
According to details, the BLA commander identified as Ahmed Nawaz surrendered during a ceremony held here. He pledged allegiance to the country and hoisted the national flag.
Nawaz also recited the Pakistani national anthem during the ceremony.
A Frontier Constabulary (FC) spokesperson said that the ex-BLA commander used to recruit people in the outlawed organization and used to train the terrorists.
He also used to run BLA campuses in the province, FC spokesperson said.
