Can’t depute army at every polling station in LB polls: ECP

ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Secretary Babar Yaqoob Fateh Muhammad on Tuesday said that the commission cannot depute military personnel at every polling station in the local body elections.

Talking to media, Yaqoob said that the ECP has asked the Chief Secretaries Punjab and Sindh to present analytical report on the requirement of the military personnel in the LG elections adding that the report would be shared with Pakistan Army.

The ECP also launched a video and mobile application for training of voters and election staff, he said.

The election commission also uploaded a video on the website of the ECP, Yaqoob added.
