Change of Guards at Mazar-e-Quaid, Iqbal’s mausoleum

KARACHI/LAHORE: Ceremonies of Change of Guard held at mausoleums of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Karachi and Allama Iqbal in Lahore on Friday morning as the nation celebrated 69th Independence Day.

Floral wreaths were laid at the graves of both the national leaders.

In Lahore, Pakistan Army 2-Baloch Regiment took over the charge from Punjab Rangers.

And a smartly turned-out contingent of Pakistan Navy Cadets assumed guard duty at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi.

The nation celebrates Independence Day today with traditional zeal and fervor pledging to make the country a true Islamic welfare state as envisioned by founder of the nation.
