CM Sindh cleanliness ultimatum goes down the drain

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah directed commissioner Karachi and the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) on Monday to clean the city garbage within three days.

However, on the last of the ultimatum today, heaps of filth and garbage could still be seen in different areas as authorities did not pay any heed to the warning, leaving citizens on the mercy of polluted environment amid poor sanitation conditions in the provincial capital.

The CM has warned that negligent officials will ‘face the music’, but authorities are unmoved.
