CM Sindh, DG Rangers decide to enhance border monitoring

KARACHI: Director General (DG) of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Major General Bilal Akbar called on Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah on Saturday at CM House in Karachi.

According to our correspondent, the meeting decided to enhance monitoring on Sindh’s border with Punjab and to expedite ongoing operation against criminals in Karachi.

They discussed the effects of Punjab operation on Sindh and decided to boost surveillance on the border between the provinces.

Today, Director General of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt-Gen Asim Bajwa said Pakistan army would deploy all required resources in its operation against gangsters hiding in Kutcha areas of Punjab’s Rajanpur district.

In a statement on Twitter, Lt-Gen Bajwa said that army troops took over charge of the operation Zarb-e-Aahan in Katcha areas.

He said that Army troops reinforced its cordon around hideouts of Chotoo gang and his armed accomplices.

The DG ISPR said that police and Rangers already involved in the operation will continue to participate under Army.
