COAS offers condolence over Ankara blasts

ANKARA: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday laid wreath at Kamal Ata Turk Mausoleum on his arrival at Turkey.


According to Inter Services Intelligence (ISPR) tweet, COAS was presented guard of honor at Turkish Land Forces HQ.

Army chief offered heartfelt condolences on Ankara terrorist blasts. “We understand enormity of your challenges & stand by you”, COAS said.

General Raheel Sharif met with Turkish Army chief and discussed common challenges. Both the commanders agreed to enhance bilateral ties.

Turkish Army chief lauded Pakistan’s army sacrifices to curb terrorism from the region.

COAS was awarded Turkish Legend of Merit for services for regional peace, courageously handling terrorism menace.
