Court grants bail to ANP leader Mian Iftikhar in PTI worker killing case

NOWSHERA: A local court in Nowshera granted bail to Awami National Party’s Central Secretary General Mian Iftikhar Hussain in PTI worker’s killing case here on Tuesday.

The court has directed the accused to submit bail bonds worth Rs200,000.

The ANP leader was arrested on Sunday after the killing of PTI worker Habibullah in Pabbi area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa`s Nowshera district.

The clash between ANP and PTI workers occurred after announcement of Local Government election results.

On Monday, the victim`s father told court that Mian Iftikhar Hussain was not involved in the murder of his son, and that he was pressured into nominating him in the First Information Report (FIR) by “angry protesters” during a clash between ANP and PTI activists.
