Court remands accused in Waqas Shah murder case

KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday remanded Asif Ali for 14 days to police over the charges of killing Muttahida Qaumi Movement activist Waqas Shah during the raid of Rangers raid on MQM headquarters in March.

Asif Ali was presented before the court amid high security.

The accused was arrested by Rangers from Shahdadpur district of Sindh.

Another MQM member Sher Muhammad Sheikh was remanded by the ATC for 90 days in Rangers custody over the charges of murders of police and Rangers officials.

Meanwhile, Saad Aziz, the prime accused of Safoora bus attack incident was identified by a witness during identification parade in the court of Prejudicial Magistrate East in the case of attack on American doctor Debra Lobo earlier this year.
