PESHAWAR: Visitors rushing to the Mardan Medical Complex have to face difficulties as doors of the medical facility were closed upon arrival of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak following a deadly suicide attack that killed 26 people and injured dozens others in Mardan on Tuesday.
The chief minister was visiting the hospital to inquire about the health of those injured in the attack. When asked about the closure of doors, he denied issuing any such order. “There was no VIP protocol, I have ordered an inquiry into the matter,” he told media.
The chief minister further said that every aspect of the bomb attack would be probed thoroughly. “26 people are reported dead and 42 injured. Five are in critical condition,” he said.
