PESHAWAR: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to hold polling in as many as 26 polling stations again after ballots boxes were smashed and other disruptive incidents occurred in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) local body (LB) polls on May 30.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) manage to grab as many as 277 seats while Awami National Party (ANP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) follow with 117 and 98 seats.
The unofficial results continue pouring in after the KP LB elections.
According to the details, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) won 78 seats whereas Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) grabbed at least 116 seats in the polls. PTI won 61 seats out of a total of 188 in Peshawar division. ANP follows the KP government with 34 seats.
However, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to conduct polling again in as many as 26 polling stations.
